storeagent/get-plan-infoHanding an assistant access to a live store should feel safe. Here is how that works.
Every ability runs under that user’s permissions. An assistant cannot reach anything the person behind it could not reach themselves.
Anything that changes the store is marked as such, so the assistant stops and asks before it acts. Read abilities just answer.
Nothing to generate, paste or maintain. Install the plugin, connect the assistant, and the abilities are there.
If your assistant speaks MCP or the WordPress Abilities API, it can call these abilities. See the WooCommerce MCP page for how the connection is set up.
You do not need to know which ability does what. Ask for the outcome.
“Write alt text for every image on the winter jackets.”
Content“Turn off live chat over the weekend.”
Chat“Which products failed to sync into AI memory, and why?”
AI Memory“How many credits have I used this month?”
Plan“Summarize the reviews on the top ten sellers.”
Content“Show me yesterday’s chat conversations.”
ChatAn ability is a named, permission-checked action that an AI assistant can call on your site. StoreAgent registers 24 of them and exposes them through the WordPress Abilities API and StoreAgent’s own MCP surface.
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any agent that speaks MCP or the WordPress Abilities API. The connection is set up on the WooCommerce MCP page. StoreAgent MCP is slated for release in early September 2026.
No. Anything that changes the store is flagged as a write ability, so the assistant confirms with you before it acts. Read abilities, which only look at information, run straight away.
No. There are no keys to generate or paste and no custom code to maintain. Install StoreAgent, connect your store, and connect your assistant.
Yes. The free plan has no credit card requirement, and the abilities are part of StoreAgent rather than a separate purchase.
The MCP page is about the connection: how your assistant reaches your store. This page is the directory of what the connected assistant can actually do once it is there.
No. StoreAgent MCP is a managed gateway, so nothing runs on your site. It is slated for release in early September 2026. Because the abilities are standard WordPress Abilities, WordPress’s own MCP Adapter can also expose them if you already run it.
The REST API gives raw endpoints that an integration must be coded against. An ability is a named action with a description, an input schema and a permission check, so an assistant can discover it and call it correctly without custom code.
Yes. Each store connects to the assistant on its own, and each ability runs under that store’s WordPress user permissions. One assistant, many stores, no shared keys.
The Abilities API is part of WordPress core since version 6.9, so your site needs WordPress 6.9 or newer to expose abilities. StoreAgent registers its abilities as soon as the plugin is active on a supported site.
Install StoreAgent, connect the assistant you already use, and start asking for the work you have been putting off.
Free plan, forever. No credit card. No API keys.
