How to Use the Product Questions AI Agent

Imagine having a tireless customer service assistant that instantly answers product questions—24/7. That’s exactly what the Product Questions AI Agent does.

This AI-powered agent adds a Q&A tab to your product pages, allowing customers to ask questions and browse previous answers from other shoppers. When a new question is submitted, the AI intelligently scans the product page for relevant details and provides an instant, context-aware response—helping customers get the information they need without delay.

Over time, as more questions are answered and your product listings improve, the AI becomes even smarter and more accurate, continuously enhancing the shopping experience.

To maintain quality, all Q&A pairs are saved to a moderation queue, giving you full control over what gets published. By analyzing recurring customer inquiries, you can also refine your product descriptions to proactively address common concerns—further reducing friction in the buying process.

Step 1: Enable the Product Questions AI Agent

Before using the AI-powered Q&A system, you need to activate the agent.

  1. Go to StoreAgent AI > AI Agents in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Find Product Questions AI in the list.
  3. Click the red Inactive button until it turns green and says Active.

Once activated, this agent will be ready to assist customers with their product inquiries.

Step 2: Configure the Product Question Settings

Once the Product Questions AI Agent is activated, you can adjust its settings to control how product inquiries are handled. Here’s how:

  1. Navigate to the AI Settings:
    • Go to StoreAgent AI > AI Agents in your WordPress dashboard.
    • Click on Product Questions AI to open its settings panel.
  2. Customize the Q&A Tab Name:
    • In the Product Q&A Tab Name field, you can rename the Q&A section displayed on your product pages.
    • The default name is Q&A, but you can change it to something more relevant (e.g., “Customer Questions” or “Ask & Answer”).
  3. Enable or Disable the Disclaimer:
    • Toggle Show Disclaimer if you want to display a message informing customers that AI-generated responses may require verification.
    • You can edit the disclaimer text to customize the message.
  4. Moderate Incoming Q&As:
    • Enable Moderate Incoming Q&A to manually review AI-generated answers before they go live.
    • This ensures accuracy and allows you to refine responses before customers see them.
  5. Include Additional Context Data for AI Responses:
    • You can enhance AI-generated answers by selecting extra product data fields for reference.
    • Available options include:
      • Product Description – Uses details from the product description.
      • Product Price – Considers the current product price.
      • Product Name – Ensures the AI references the correct product.
      • Product SKU – Adds SKU details for precise product identification.
      • Product Attributes – Uses specifications like size, color, and material.
      • Product Metadata – Lets you manually select additional metadata fields.
  6. Save Your Changes:
    • Once you’ve customized the settings, click Save Changes to apply them.

These settings allow you to fine-tune how AI answers customer questions, ensuring responses are accurate, relevant, and aligned with your store’s needs.

Step 3: Managing Product Questions

After setup, the AI will begin handling product-related inquiries. You can manage and moderate responses in the Product Questions section.

  1. Go to Products > Product Questions in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Review the list of submitted questions and AI-generated responses.
  3. Edit or approve responses before they are published.

This ensures that your Q&A section remains high-quality and helpful for customers.
