Why Create StoreAgent?
Hi there 👋 I’m Josh Kohlbach. I’ve been kicking around the WordPress and WooCommerce space helping store owners for over 15 years now.
A couple of years ago, my world was rocked.
Artificial Intelligence, the thing I majored in back in university when I was doing my Bachelor’s degree, the thing that even my smartest lecturers agreed was still decades away, the topic that I wow’d my parents and teachers with in my award winning grade 7 speech at the tender age of 12, … it started going mainstream!
All of a sudden, I had people like my real estate agent, my doctor, even my mum tell me about this thing called ChatGPT and how it was going to change our world.
2 years – that’s all it took. It’s pretty wild how quickly AI technology permeated modern life, right?
But something wasn’t sitting totally right for me until earlier this year when I realised something. ChatGPT is great, but it’s still just a chat interface. You have to type your questions, it “thinks” about the answer, and spits out a response.
I’m not sure about you, but this wasn’t what I imagined as a 12 year old kid dreaming about how AI was going to change our life.
Even now, in my head, I want AI to be like a robot that does things for me. When I stumbled upon the concept of “agents”, it all clicked into place and the idea for StoreAgent was born.

I think that store owners are uniquely positioned to benefit from the transformation that AI is thrusting upon the world.
We’re a unique group because we have budget for buying tools, we are generally early adopters, and we’re always pushing the envelope when it comes to finding ways to make our businesses better, operating on ever thinner margins.
